Bacteriostatic water, 10ml vial. Supplied for laboratory research and analytical purposes only.
Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative, allowing repeated withdrawal from a single vial. Presented in a clear glass vial with a crimped seal.
Reconstitution. Lyophilised compounds are supplied as a dry powder and require a diluent before analytical work. Bacteriostatic water is the standard choice because the preservative permits a vial to be entered more than once, unlike sterile water for injection which is single-use. The 10ml vial suits larger or repeated preparations.
